Travel of Assistant Secretary Frantz to Austria and Belgium

Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Doug Frantz will travel to Austria and Belgium from June 23 to June 27, 2014.


In Vienna, Assistant Secretary Frantz will present and moderate a panel discussion on the challenges of reporting on nuclear proliferation at a conference co-hosted by Atomic Reporters and the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP). His visit will also include meetings with the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna.


Assistant Secretary Frantz will then proceed to Brussels, where he will speak at a roundtable event hosted by the Media Hub with Brussels-based international journalists about the Secretary’s foreign policy priorities. He will also meet with University of Missouri journalism students currently interning at news organizations in Brussels to discuss the relationship between policymaking and the news media.
