Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel R. Russel will travel to Seattle, Washington and Tokyo, Japan, April 1-7.
In Seattle, April 1-3, he will participate in a number of engagements with academics and U.S. business focused on U.S. policy toward the Asia-Pacific region. The Jackson School of International Affairs at the University of Washington and the National Bureau of Asian Research will host Assistant Secretary Russel for public remarks on April 1. The speech, “America Looks West: Our Future with Asia” is open to the press. Access is controlled by the Jackson School of International Affairs.
Assistant Secretary Russel will travel to Tokyo, Japan April 4-7 for meetings with Japanese officials to discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues.
