On October 5, Assistant Secretary Nuland will travel to Kyiv, Ukraine, where she will discuss the U.S. commitment to assist ongoing reform efforts in Ukraine, the status of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, and U.S. support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity with senior Ukrainian government leaders. Assistant Secretary Nuland will also meet with a broad spectrum of political leaders, civil society groups, regional government officials, and student groups.


The Assistant Secretary will then travel to Berlin, Germany, on October 8, where she will meet with senior government officials and members of the Bundestag on the broad range of bilateral and global issues. She will also deliver remarks at Aspen Institute’s conference celebrating 40 years in Germany.


On October 9-10, Assistant Secretary Nuland will visit Helsinki, Finland, where she will meet with senior Finnish government leaders to discuss bilateral and regional issues. She will also participate in a round table with young entrepreneurs to discuss the innovation environment.
