Torksey

A village in north western Lincolnshire, Torksey was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, but it has a history going back much further. The Roman canal called the Foss Dyke crosses the River Trent here through a series of locks and the Romans founded a town here called Tiovulfingacester.
