Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Travel to Pakistan and China

U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman will visit Islamabad, Pakistan on October 28. In Pakistan, Special Representative Feldman will meet with a wide range of civilian and military officials as well as representatives from civil society.
Special Representative Feldman will then travel to Beijing on October 30-31, where he will join a senior U.S. delegation to participate in the ‘Heart of Asia’ conference. The conference is an important opportunity to discuss the effort by many in the region to expand political, security, and economic support for Afghanistan. Special Representative Feldman will also conduct bilateral meetings with key Chinese counterparts to exchange views on the situation in Afghanistan.
